Responsibilities

Summary : As an RME (or Qualifying Person), you will oversee and evaluate a network of contractor’s work who perform appliance, electrical, HVAC, and/or plumbing consultation, diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and improvement. Interact with all departments including field sales. Recruit, hire, coach, oversee, and evaluate new and existing contractors within their network(s) as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Available for all testing should it be required to obtain company multi-trades licenses and/or shilled trade licenses.

  • Able to complete all required work experience forms, licensing forms and signatures needed to process license applications in a timely fashion.

  • Oversees and evaluates the quality and cost of an assignedcontractor networkby analyzing and interpreting reports and statistical data and assigning tasks as needed.

  • Educates, trains, and provides ongoing coaching tocontractors as neededon company policies and procedures.

  • Analyzes data to determine gaps incontractoravailability and performance to make recommendations, build commitment, and overcome obstacles.

  • Provides technical support, remote diagnosis, and triage using Zoom and other multi-channel interactions in the diagnosis and repair of Customers' service or maintenance needs.

  • Serves as a trusted “Advisor” for best practices and cost efficiency for members and delivers a great member experience by walking them through simple, step by step instructions to better understand their service or maintenance need and potential options.

  • Enhances and maintains technical knowledge of current trade standards, codes, and procedures regarding safe and effective do-it-yourself/do-it-with-me instruction.

  • Acquires and maintains knowledge and understanding of product for application in every business transaction.

  • Develops business relationships and responds to sales inquiries and service needs.

  • Grows the business and other sales objectives and key results (OKRs) as identified.

  • May assume other duties as applied.

Qualifications

Minimum Education, Licensure and Professional Certification requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required, Trade-specific licensure preferred. Able to meet requirements to serve as an RME formulti-trade (General Contractor) licenses and/or skilled trade licenses (HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical).

Minimum Experience required (number of years necessary to perform role) : 7+ years of recent trade-specific experience required.

Travel: Up to 50% in first year, and potential for less after

Required Skills:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain licensure as RME for a multi-trade (General Contractor) license and/or skilled trade licenses (HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing) in multiple jurisdictions.

  • Have 7+ years of verifiable experience, through either (1) employment in the last 10 years as a journeyperson, foreperson, supervising employee, or contractor in a specific trade, such as plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, or HVAC; or (2) a combination of journey-level work experience in the last 10 years, and or education (trade school, etc.).

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work as a team player in a professional manner.

  • Customer service and conflict resolution skills; Negotiation and sales skills; Analytical skills; Organizational and time management skills; Problem solving and decision-making skills; Project management, organization, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills; Business and financial acumen.

  • Be a subject matter expert specific to general contracting and/or other major trades HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing.

  • Provide expertise specific to dealing with state and local inspectors/regulators.

  • Provide expertise as it pertains to various business lines within the organization.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, PowerBI) and verifiable high-speed internet connection

  • Ability to carry up to 50 lbs may apply then as luggage is involved. Walking, and driving will also become a portion of daily requirements during these times as well.

Preferred Skills:

  • Have multi-trade contractor and/or skilled trade licenses with no disciplinary action in any U.S. jurisdiction (State, County, City). Licenses should be in active status, or readily able to be activated.

  • Ability to systematically triage and diagnose appliance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems.

  • Ability to analyze problems and use professional judgement to offer appropriate course of action according to company procedures and policies.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate technical issues to the customer in an easy-to-understand manner.

  • Are a self-starter, personable and can develop relationships that create sales, in-person or virtually.

Other/State Specific

This role pays between $105,900/yr to $155,000/yr, and your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, responsibilities, experience, and location.
