Frontdoor Cloud Network Engineer in Memphis, Tennessee
o High degree of knowledge in networking (protocols, LAN, WAN)
o Experience working with AWS, GCP VPC configuration, NAT, Load Balancing, monitoring.
o Understanding of Kubernetes and networking in a microservice architecture.
o VPN connections on-prem to cloud providers and cloud provider to cloud provider.
o PaloAlto networks PanOS and Panorama devices, physical and virtual.
o Infoblox Grid Manager
o Automation and scripting (Ansible, Python, Bash, Terraform preferred; Chef, Puppet, Jenkins OK)
o Familiarity with zero trust network design principles.
o Knowledge of Linux operating system.
o Docker and container principles.
o Network troubleshooting tools (tcpdump, netstat, nslookup, dig, etc.)
Roles and responsibilities
o Monitor and maintain current network infrastructure.
o Create network monitoring strategy and alerting; automate auto healing of network components
o Create infrastructure as code.
o Work as an individual contributor as part of team utilizing Scrum methodology.
o Create deployment automation tools and methods for new networking components and update existing infrastructure with automation.
o Act as a technical consultant for software development teams to provide guidance, standards and knowledge.
o Assist in implementation of security best practices at all levels of the infrastructure.
o Ensure maximum uptime of cloud hosted environments.
o Design and maintain high availability model for cloud hosted services.
o Work as part of an on-call rotation.
