Frontdoor Site Reliability Engineering Manager in Memphis, Tennessee

As a Manager, Site Reliability Engineering you will lead a team responsible for various aspects of cloud operations including design, implementation, and automation of large scale distributed systems. You will provide technical leadership and prepare detailed plans to implement new technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead DevOps projects working with DevOps/SRE, Engineering, Systems, Network, and Infrastructure teams

  • Track and present DevOps KPI to upper management

  • Own availability and reliability of mission critical services

  • Hire, train, and coach new team members

  • Manage on-call rotations

  • Recommend software improvements to achieve higher availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Systems and Networking experience

  • 5+ years of Software Development Life Cycle experience

  • 3+ years of public cloud experience (GCP and/or AWS)

  • Excellent problem solving, analytical, and decision making skills

  • Experience managing complex projects

  • Experience with DevOps/SRE methodologies & tools

  • Experience with public cloud cost management

  • Experience in performance engineering and capacity planning

  • Experience with software development and testing process in an agile environment

  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment

  • Must be an excellent communicator (verbal and written)

  • MS in computer Science or equivalent experience
