Position Overview

Frontdoor’s Pricing team is looking for an experienced Pricing leader who will own pricing strategy and execution for one or more of our sales channels: Real Estate, Direct-to-Consumer, and Renewals. This individual will lead strategic pricing initiatives, develop annual pricing plans, monitor pricing outcomes and drive continuous improvement opportunities.

Pricing team members must have a deep understanding of how pricing impacts revenue, customer count and profitability—specifically for subscription-based businesses. Team members are responsible for partnering with key stakeholders across the company to drive pricing thought leadership on product, marketing and sales initiatives that support the organization’s growth and profitability goals.

As a Strategic Pricing Lead, you will be using data, insights, and a deep understanding of pricing best practices to lead channel-level pricing strategy, execution, and measurement. A Strategic Pricing Lead will also oversee testing programs, monitor discounts/promotions activity and conduct ad-hoc analysis to improve our understanding of customer price sensitivity. This individual will report to the Director of Pricing.

Job Responsibilities

  • Defines and leads key strategic pricing initiatives with limited oversight

  • Manages strategic and tactical pricing recommendations based on customer and competitor research and data analysis

  • Partners with the product and pricing teams to develop annual channel-level pricing plan and tracks progress against strategic goals

  • Conducts complex pricing analyses with minimal supervision (such as price elasticity, cross-price elasticity, AB test analysis, lifetime value analysis and customer segmentation)

  • Collaborates with leadership and coordinates with multiple departments to drive forward strategic initiatives

  • Presents findings and recommendations to key stakeholders including senior management

  • Acts as a coach and mentor to less experienced analysts and develops them into future leaders

  • Works effectively with key business stakeholders to build/maintain relationships and understand business objectives and strategy

  • Manages multiple projects/initiatives and gets results in a complex, sometimes ambiguous environment

  • Works within 3rd party pricing software to setup, analyze, monitor and optimize pricing

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as Business Administration, Economics, Statistics or Applied Mathematics

  • 4+ years of experience in pricing, product management, or financial analysis roles

  • Adaptability and agility in changing circumstances; handling multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Knowledge of pricing, consumer services, and product management best practices

  • Ability to clearly define and communicate vision

  • Ability to lead implementation and adoption

  • Ability to work with quantitative, business and front-line teams

  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required; Some experience or willingness to learn SQL and other visualization software (PowerBI, Looker, etc.)

  • Familiarity with 3rd party pricing software

  • We are seeking an individual who is highly analytical, collaborative, and a deep learner

  • Top candidate will be a self-starter with a sharp eye for details, an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, and the ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership
