FULL STACK SOFTWARE ENGINEER

What the engineering team will be working on over the next year:

Streem is revolutionizing communication beyond just normal remote video by bringing together some of the latest technologies in a convenient and easy to use app. Using Augmented Reality via phone, a plumber can now literally reach out and point at the problem area, instead of trying to explain it with just words. The app also takes remote measurements by capturing depth information during the call. Using Machine Learning and Image Recognition Streem identifies products, extracts model/serial numbers, recognizes problem situations, and more, making the professional even more efficient than if they were onsite.

As a member of our team, you will:

  • Collaborate with other software engineers, stakeholders, and product managers to build services and applications that are internally and externally facing

  • Work closely with product managers, designers, software engineers, and infrastructure engineers to design and implement new features

  • Provide support for backend services including after-hours support on a rotational basis

  • Collaborate with leaders across the company to evangelize and strengthen the engineering culture by continuously improving practices, processes, standards, and tooling

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years of software development experience

  • Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin

  • Experience with designing, building, deploying, and maintaining secure and scalable REST APIs

  • Ability to write efficient SQL queries with a good understanding of data structures and relational databases

  • Familiarity with modern web technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) and experience with JS web frameworks such as React

Bonus:

  • AWS deployment experience with Docker (extra bonus for using Terraform)

  • Good understanding of dependency and build tools (Gradle, NPM, Webpack, etc)

  • Familiarity with CI/CD build automation
