Responsibilities
Summary : (Remote / Virtual Role)
Frontdoor is looking for a Manager, Benefits and Leave to support its growth and transformation. Reporting to the Sr. Director, HR Business Partner, this role will partner with the People team and business leaders to manage the strategic design, implementation and administration of benefit and leave programs across the U.S. and at least one other country, while ensuring a great associate experience.

Responsibilities:
Manages the benefits and leave area, ensuring that the benefit and leave programs deliver value to our associates and are aligned with competitive practices.
Responsibilities include ensuring the plans are administered in compliance with plan provisions, managing outside consultants and business partners, ensuring that participants receive the highest level of customer service, and leading the design and implementation of benefit and leave strategies that are consistent with the Company’s business goals and benefit strategy.
Develop benefits and leave strategies that ensure programs are designed competitively, executed efficiently, and align with company goals and benefit strategy.
Oversees all functions associated with the administration of benefit and leave programs to ensure they deliver a great associate experience through innovative solutions, communications, and education.
Leads or partners with a team and professional consultants to provide training, coaching, and guidance; encourages and supports individual talent development.
Manages benefit and leave plans to meet regulatory compliance and governance/audit requirements, consults with legal resources and stays abreast of developing legislation and its potential impact.
Provides research and analysis of benefit and leave programs and vendor effectiveness to assess cost savings, process improvements and legal requirements to remain competitive and in compliance with health and welfare programs.
Responsible for audits and regulatory filings for benefit plans and managing/supporting vendor relationships of benefit and leave programs.
On a regular basis, prepares and reviews the benefit budgets, and reviews benefits expenditures, and analyzes variances.
Partners with broader People team to maximize the effectiveness of benefits and leave across various associate touchpoints, including with Talent Acquisition, People Operations, Compensation, and Talent Value Leaders.
Works closely with People Operations team in relation to benefits and leave, including review, testing, and system upgrades.
Partners with Finance, Legal, and Sourcing teams to ensure benefit and leave programs remain compliant and third party vendors meet company requirements.
Collaborates with Communications team to ensure benefit and leave programs are communicated effectively and creatively to associates and dependents.
Partners with Benefits broker/consultants, vendor partners, and network with industry peers, to ensure benefits are designed competitively, and delivered efficiently and effectively
Project manages benefits renewals, including timelines, analysis, and implementation.
Manages new location benefit and leave program set-ups.
Participates in mergers and acquisitions, anywhere from due diligence to integration.
May assume other duties as applied.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
Maintains an expert knowledge of all federal and state laws related to associate leaves, retirement and health and welfare benefits
Strong managerial and leadership skills
Ability to partner with and influence all management levels
Effectively build relationships with key stakeholders
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to prepare and deliver executive level presentations
Advanced knowledge of business practices and problem resolution
Experience leading large-scale change management projects
Strong project management, planning and analytical skills
Intermediate or advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Experience with a fast-paced technology company (preferably software development)
Preferred Skills:
Experience with a publicly-traded company

Physical Role Requirements : Be seated at a computer intermittently for up to eight hours a day. Move up to 10 pounds occasionally, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects. Sitting for long periods of time while using office equipment such as computers and phones. Repetitive motions using hands and digits; such as movement of wrists, hands and fingers while picking, pinching and typing during your normal working environment.
Minimum Education, Licensure and Professional Certification requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum Experience required : 8+ years of experience (and 3+ managing) all areas of benefits and leaves
Other/State Specific
This role pays between $116,010 to $128,900 and your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, responsibilities, experience, and location.
