At Streem we are creating an easy-to-use video streaming platform for experts to interact with and help their customers with whatever it is in your home that is broken. If they can’t help you fix it, they can use our advanced tools to gather information about what’s wrong so that they can bring the right parts the first time! This role will be working on a new React Native Web SDK for our software, working with other mobile and web developers on a shared codebase. We are taking on small, short-lived scrum project teams to complete new features, so you will get to work with many different skillsets and levels.

Responsibilities :

As a full-time senior React Native Engineer, you’ll be expected to

  • Build a shared SDK on React Native Web for our mobile and web applications.

  • Document and share the work you build with the rest of the engineering team. We facilitate weekly share sessions and discussions for learning.

  • Implement functionality for automated tests that will successfully pass and meet coding standards.

  • Debug production issues and create subsequent mitigation plans.

  • Adapt legacy code and refactor and improve our overall ecosystem

  • Be on-call for a one week period every 2-3 months in our on-call rotation.

  • Prioritize tasks with the Scrum-master that leads the team.

  • Participate in bi-weekly retrospectives to improve our process.

  • Bring forward ideas to experiment and work in teams to transform ideas to reality.

  • Collaborate with team members and communicate your ideas well.

  • As a senior role, you should be willing to mentor and help more junior members of the team.



  • 5+ years product development experience, specifically building in React Native

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience. Code school graduates welcome!

  • Capability to debug complex problems and analyze logs in production systems and to read existing code.

  • Excellent skills in programming languages, such as Javascript, Typescript, Kotlin, Swift, Java, or related.

  • Ability to be on call on a rotating basis for the services owned by the team.

  • Strong communication skills and a desire to collaborate with the team to build the best possible product


  • Experience building a library or an SDK

  • Experience with CI/CD tools and processes

  • Experience with unit testing and creating testable code

  • Experience in developing products in an Agile development environment, either in Kanban or Scrum teams.

  • Strong leadership skills with capability to lead a team of engineers.

  • Experience mentoring or tech leading teams with proven success

  • Experience with native iOS experience

The incoming salary for this role is $125k for the minimum level of experience outlined in the requirements for this role; however, the salary we ultimately offer will typically increase commensurate with experience.
