Responsibilities

Summary: The Software Engineering Manager will build and manage a high performing, collaborative, and inclusive team to achieve diverse objectives in replicable, scalable ways. You are expected to foster a team that will build for scale, meaning to avoid tech debt and build things correctly the first time, and in a way that will be maintainable and grow with us. As the Software Engineering Manager, you will be able to develop and execute a strategy that pushes those efforts for continued improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage a high performing, collaborative, and inclusive team.

  • Develop and execute a strategy that focuses on effective and efficient designs, test and resilience processes, integration across dependent software and service components, improve common frameworks, tooling, and reuse where applicable.

  • Lead teams that deliver on multiple projects

  • Ensure alignment with controls, procedures, and tooling which support our desire to deliver a world-class set of services in a predictable manner.

  • Review system requirements and business processes; code, test, debug, and implement software solutions.

  • Prioritize, plan, and track project progress.

  • Involved in direct planning of long- and short-term infrastructure improvement projects, including design, budgeting, and implementation.

  • Manage teams to achieve diverse objectives in replicable, scalable ways.

  • May include other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Experience required: 4+ years manage, lead, and coach a team of software development professionals 4+ year’s experience as a software engineer

The incoming salary for this role is $140k for the minimum level of experience outlined in the requirements for this role; however, the salary we ultimately offer will typically increase commensurate with experience.
