Responsibilities
Summary : As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be instrumental in crafting and executing advanced data architectures and acquisition strategies and integrating complex analytical models into our sophisticated data platform. This role requires a collaborative spirit to work with cross-functional teams, ensuring the development and implementation of solutions that meet and exceed business requirements, and optimizing the utilization of data assets.
Responsibilities:
Hands-on design and deployment of data solutions with specific proficiency using pattern-based implementation solutions.
Pioneer the integration of Generative AI and LLM technologies to bolster our data analysis and innovation capabilities.
Construct and manage efficient data pipelines using tools such as Snowflake, dbt, Kafka, and Airflow, with a focus on seamless data ingestion, processing, and distribution.
Facilitate API integrations with external data sources, such as Salesforce and Qualtrics, ensuring their seamless incorporation into our centralized data platform.
Champion data governance and observability frameworks to uphold data integrity, compliance, and security across all platforms.
Lead the adoption of business-focused domain architectures, effectively marrying technology solutions with business goals.
Master and apply various data modeling techniques, including dimensional modeling, with emphasis on Star and other related analytical modeling techniques.
Engage with internal stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of data needs, delivering solutions that drive strategic business objectives.
Offer leadership and mentorship to the data engineering team, cultivating a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
Qualifications
Minimum Education, Licensure and Professional Certification requirements: Bachelor’s or MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
Minimum Experience required (number of years necessary to perform role) : 10+ years of experience in a relevant field
Required Skills:
A minimum of 10 years in data engineering, with a demonstrated focus on cloud solutions using Snowflake, AWS, and managed cloud services, including serverless architectures.
Expertise in Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, and Kafka, with experience in using Snowflake GenAI and other LLM solutions.
Proven capability in integrating external APIs from platforms like Salesforce and Qualtrics.
Proficiency in programming languages (Python, SQL, Scala) and familiarity with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark).
Deep knowledge of data governance and observability tools, ensuring high data quality, security, and compliance.
Understanding of microservices architectures and the implementation of business-focused domain architectures.
Advanced skills in various data modeling techniques and schema types, showcasing an ability to design efficient and scalable data architectures.
Other/State Specific
This role pays between $ 165k to $ 180k , and your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, responsibilities, experience, and location.
