Responsibilities

The Senior Technology Resilience Engineer is responsible for leading Frontdoor’s implementation and ongoing operations of programs to effectively integrate digital resilience into every part of information technology infrastructure, systems, core services, and software to ensure rapid response to any business operations disruption. This includes leading programs to ensure confidentiality, integrity and availability of critical data, prompt and appropriate response to incidents and rapid recovery, and integrating security into design processes for improved productivity and service operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the business and system owners to develop and implement enterprise-wide technology resilience to allow for the ability to maintain acceptable service levels when there is a disruption to business operations, critical processes and/or the IT ecosystem.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert in technology risk resilience, disaster recovery, IT availability and overall IT security by design.

  • Continuously work with the business to identify and mitigate risks associated with business disruption and technology resilience.

  • Lead efforts in conducting a Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) (design, planning, implementation and testing) activities for critical services.

  • Collaborate with the business and system owners to develop strategies to properly reduce risk and transform traditional Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions to secure, agile, scalable, always-on, cloud-first environments by removing single points of failure.

  • Define, implement and monitor disaster recovery and continuity controls and procedures to ensure for the ability to recover and sustain essential business functions in the event of an interruption.

  • Implement and maintain recovery plans and metrics to regularly report on the risks associated with security, availability and integrity of company technology and data.

  • Continuously identify process improvements to systems and controls to mature technology resilience.

  • Review of vendor technology resilience, recovery and continuity controls to ensure that proper safeguards are in place to be able to continue operations in the event of a disruption.

  • Partner with InfoSec to define and enforce a “security by design” concept for secure and resilient infrastructure, software development and system architecture.

  • Define and enforce a consistent and repeatable IT Change Management framework and practices across the business to reduce risk of incidents caused by a change.

  • Champion solutions, improvements and best practices to increase operational efficiency and overall technology resilience as it relates to installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT systems software and hardware.

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Security or Equivalent Experience ideal.

  • 7+ years of practical experience in the design, build, test and deployment of Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) frameworks and related programs.

  • CISA, CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CGEIT, ITIL, CDPSE or other security training/certifications.

  • SME and demonstrated competency level in SOX, COBIT, ITIL, ISO, NIST, PCI-DSS, SOC2 and Data Privacy Laws.

  • Extensive technical knowledge of the security practices and resiliency principles required to establish secure design protocols to architect services and solutions.

  • Proven track record in one or more of the areas of: change management, disaster recovery, security architecture and engineering, and software development security.

  • Functional knowledge of key security domains and strong familiarity of technology risk.

  • Critical thinking and analytical skills to synthesize information, perform root-cause analysis, and provide practical recommendations to management to address the gap or weakness.

  • Strong attention to detail, project management and organizational skills.

  • Self-starter with ability to effectively manage workloads across multiple stakeholders and time zones.

  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency and quickly shift priorities, projects and timelines as needed.

This role pays between $ 105000 to $ 150000 , and your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, responsibilities, experience, and location.
