Frontdoor’s Strategy team is looking for a Sr. Manager to support strategic initiatives, strategic planning and M&A projects.
The Strategy team must develop a deep understanding of the unique challenges facing the home service plan industry. The team is responsible for thought leadership and leading initiatives that support the organization’s growth goals and providing strategic direction and partnership to senior leadership. We optimize our current operations as well as envision what our organization might look like years from now.
As a Sr. Manager of the Strategy team, you will be using data and insights to answer some of our most challenging questions and deliver value through successful execution of our most important strategic initiatives. This individual will report to the Director of Strategy and be responsible for generating ideas to improve our business, designing execution and measurement plans, executing, and then monitoring results. Further, this individual will be expected to partner with key stakeholders across the enterprise to drive measurable results.
Define and lead key strategic and process improvement initiatives with limited oversight
Support the development of the annual strategic plan, and tracks progress against strategic goals
Conduct highly complex analyses with minimal supervision
Collaborate with leadership and coordinates with multiple departments to drive forward strategic initiatives
Lead critical corporate development initiatives including strategic partnerships and Mergers & Acquisitions
Execute various financial analysis such as DCF and cost-benefit analyses
Present findings and recommendations to key stakeholders including senior management
Act as a coach and mentor to less experienced analysts and develops them into future leaders
Work effectively with key business stakeholders to build/maintain relationships and understand business objectives and strategy
Hypothesis driven problem solving and perform deep-dives to find the root causes
Successfully manage stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Ability to manage multiple projects/initiatives and get results in a complex, sometimes ambiguous environment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as Business Administration, Economics, Statistics or Applied Mathematics
7+ years of experience in business, consulting, strategy or financial analysis roles
Adaptability and agility in changing circumstances; handling multiple priorities and deadlines
Knowledge of process improvement, root cause analysis, change management and implementation practices
Ability to clearly define and communicate vision
Ability to lead implementation and adoption
Ability to work with quantitative, business and front-line teams
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required; SAS, MS SQL, and PowerBI preferred
Top candidate will be a self-starter with a sharp eye for details, an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, and the ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership
