Responsibilities
(Remote role w/ 25% travel)
This role will help construct and deliver compelling, credible financial communications to drive shareholder value while cultivating new and innovative ways to communicate our unique value proposition to investors, emphasizing the strength of our high cash generating recurring revenue model, as well as educating analysts on the drivers of long-term growth and operating margins.
This individual must remain current on the political, regulatory and industry landscape, as well as economic and stock market trends. Critical to the success of this role is the ability to partner across every level of the company, promoting the highest levels of integrity to all our stakeholders, while continually building and maintaining trust with management and the investment community.
Responsibilities:
Serve as co-spokesperson to investors and research analysts and develop relationships with these groups by communicating company strategy, priorities, and competitive advantage.
Help to build and execute an IR vision, strategy and annual operating plan for a best-in-class investor relations program as measured by key metrics (e.g. sell-side analyst coverage expansion, conference participation, investor growth/mix, etc.)
Appropriately advance the company’s financial narratives as a key contributor to quarterly earnings and other press releases, CEO & CFO call scripts, internal and external presentations, as well as talking points and relevant Q&A.
Assist with presentations for investor, corporate communications and marketing initiatives, and investor conferences, road shows and other activities/projects as necessary.
Provide feedback and recommendations to senior management up to the CEO and CFO related to discussions with the investment community and sentiment towards the company’s business strategies, market developments and external events, in addition to monitoring and reporting on publicly available peer data and insights.
Build strong internal networks, engaging others throughout the company to cultivate deep subject matter & business expertise across all aspects of Frontdoor’s business - inclusive of strategy, operations, product, regulatory, financial performance, and results.
Effectively interact with the investor/analyst community to provide investor guidance and relevant data as required.
Develop and own the IR budget. Oversee IR service providers and manage exchange relationship.
Coach and mentor more junior member(s) of the IR team and CFO organization community more broadly.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and an ability to influence at all levels of an organization.
Strategic thinker who can develop and evolve our messaging with changes to the business, industry and overall macro environment.
Ability to generate clear, accurate, and compelling investor materials, and can deliver our messages in an engaging manner.
Ability to break down complex ideas and issues and communicate in simple terms to different levels of the organization.
Ability to multi-task effectively, working in team environments or independently (both virtually and in-person).
Must be extremely proactive.
Possess a true sense of “Own It”, a critical component of our Frontdoor company values.
Ability to manage priorities under pressure.
Ability to break down complex ideas and issues and communicate in simple terms to different levels of the organization.
Ability to both accept and to deliver critical feedback.
Must possess a high degree of accuracy.
Knowledge of SEC and disclosure requirements.
Experience serving as a mentor and a coach to employees.
Job Requirements
10+ years of experience in investor relations, financial planning and analysis, buy-side or sell-side research, accounting or investment banking.
Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance or Economics. An MBA, CPA or CFA is preferred.
25%+ travel required for earnings calls, investor meetings, etc.
Other/State Specific
This role pays between $171,400 to $232,000 and your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, responsibilities, experience, and location.
