Responsibilities

Summary: Frontdoor’s Pricing team is looking for a Lead Pricing Analyst who will own supporting acquisition and renewal channel leads with all pricing analysis, forecasting, and reporting. This individual will be responsible for analyzing data on nearly $2B+ in revenue sold, assist with strategic pricing initiatives, develop annual pricing plans and forecasts, monitor pricing outcomes, and drive continuous improvement opportunities.

Pricing team members must have a deep understanding of how pricing impacts revenue, customer count and profitability—specifically for subscription-based businesses. Team members are responsible for partnering with key stakeholders across the company to drive pricing thought leadership on product, marketing and sales initiatives that support the organization’s growth and profitability goals.

As a Lead Pricing Analyst, you will be using data, insights, and a deep understanding of pricing best practices to assist with channel-level pricing strategy, execution, and measurement. You will also oversee testing programs, monitor discounts/promotions activity, and conduct ad-hoc analysis to improve our understanding of customer price sensitivity.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts complex pricing analyses with minimal supervision (such as competitive pricing intelligence, price elasticity, cross-price elasticity, AB test analysis, lifetime value analysis and customer segmentation)

  • Transforms customer data into standard, insightful metrics / reporting, and analytics in support of stronger produce and sales pricing decisions.

  • Identifies opportunities through financial and quantitative analysis using regression time series and price elasticity and other pricing analyses.

  • Assist with design and management of price tests as well as customer segmentation to tailor pricing actions based on expected behavior of pricing segments.

  • Collaborates with leadership and coordinates with multiple departments such as product, sales, and marketing to drive forward strategic initiatives

  • Presents findings and recommendations to key stakeholders including senior management

  • Works effectively with key business stakeholders to build/maintain relationships and understand business objectives and strategy

  • Works within 3 rd party pricing software to setup, analyze, monitor and optimize pricing

  • Manages pricing efforts, delivers pricing insights and actions recommendations and ensures timely delivery of output.

  • Gathers data from internal and external sources to feed analyses.

  • Leads meetings with stakeholders and presents materials.

  • Integrates information from multiple sources/resources and effectively communicates results.

  • May assume other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Education, Licensure and Professional Certification requirements: Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as Business Administration, Economics, Statistics or Applied Mathematics

Minimum Experience required : 4+ years of experience in pricing, product management, or financial analysis roles

Required Skills:

  • We are seeking an individual who is highly analytical, collaborative, and a deep learner

  • Top candidate will be a self-starter with a sharp eye for details, an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, and the ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership

  • Adaptability and agility in changing circumstances; handling multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Knowledge of pricing, consumer services, and product management best practices

  • Ability to clearly define and communicate vision

  • Ability to lead implementation and adoption

  • Ability to work with quantitative, business and front-line teams

  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required; some experience or willingness to learn SQL, python/R, or other visualization software (PowerBI, Looker, etc.)

  • Familiarity with 3 rd party pricing software

Other/State Specific

This role pays between $95k to $110k per year, and your actual pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, responsibilities, experience, and location.
