Responsibilities
Summary : (Vurtual/Remote Role) The Sr Internal Audit & Enterprise Risk Manager (ERM) reports to the Vice President of Internal Audit and is responsible for managing the internal audit and ERM functions. These functions are designed to safeguard the organization while supporting its strategic objectives. The Internal Audit Program will utilize a risk-based approach to focus audit resources on the highest risks, providing comprehensive audit coverage across the company. The program will perform objective analyses of strategic, financial, operational, technological, internal controls, and risk management processes through planning, execution, and reporting of audits, corrective action plans, and control development/testing. The ERM program, while distinct from Internal Audit, will be structured and lead to complement and reinforce the audit function. It will account for the relevant COSO and industry standards and best practices. The program will ensure clear identification, evaluation, and monitoring of enterprise risks in a structured and consistent manner. Both functions will be designed and operationalized to support the organization's strategy while maintaining the substantive independence required to ensure objective oversight.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and lead the execution of a risk-based annual audit plan from planning, execution, and reporting of audits, ensuring findings are communicated effectively and corrective actions are tracked inclusive of oversight of our co-source provider as we collectively work to build out our Internal Audit and ERM function.
Perform regular risk assessments to identify high-risk areas and guide the allocation of audit resources.
Leverage technology, build, and sustain an audit and ERM team that is well-versed, skilled, experienced, and professionally certified to fulfil the organization's requirements.
Spearhead and navigate intricate audit initiatives, while offering direction to the audit team(s).
Communicate audit findings, internal control deficiencies, and recommendations, including discussions with executives and forging alignment and consensus. Prepares clear and concise written audit reports.
Drive continuous enhancements in the internal audit function to keep pace with the organization's evolving demands.
Participate in business activities related to new products/services, system conversions, and process reengineering to ensure risk and control considerations are addressed early.
Coordinate with external auditors and the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) PMO to facilitate Internal Control over Financial Reporting (IFCR) testing and oversight of our co-sourced partner leading management ICFR testing.
Design and operationalize tools (Riskonnect or other Risk Platform) for tracking, monitoring, and reporting risks, including dashboards and scorecards and the Enterprise Risk Assessment.
Evolve policies, procedures, and process to identify, assess, and monitor enterprise-wide risk and help Co-Develop KRIs (Key Risk Indicators) which will be used to monitor risk tolerance and report to management.
Collaborate with teams to conduct regular risk assessments, scenario analysis, and stress tests to ensure preparedness against emerging threats and guide risk owners on developing their risk profiles, mitigation strategies, and emerging risks identification.
May assume other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
Proven ability to manage complex audit plans and lead ERM initiatives
Expertise in integrated audits covering financial, operational, and IT objectives
Deep knowledge of COSO, PCAOB standards, SOX, US GAAP, and IIA professional practices
Strong presentation skills, with experience preparing executive-level reports for boards and audit committees
Advanced proficiency in audit tools, data analytics, and risk management software
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills
Capacity to operate autonomously while demonstrating professional skepticism and collaboratively within a team setting
Curiosity that shows the ability to be inquisitive, ask questions, and explore new ideas
Ability to be agile
Desire to learn new skills and upskill themselves to embed technology into their daily routine

Qualifications
Physical Role Requirements : Be seated at a computer intermittently for up to eight hours a day. Move up to 10 pounds occasionally, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects. Sitting for long periods of time while using office equipment such as computers and phones. Repetitive motions using hands and digits; such as movement of wrists, hands and fingers while picking, pinching and typing during your normal working environment.
Minimum Education, Licensure and Professional Certification requirements: Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s preferred). CPA, CIA, or equivalent certification required. CISA or other relevant certifications preferred
Minimum Experience required (number of years necessary to perform role) :7+ years of experience required in internal audit, ERM, internal controls, or related functions. 5+ years of managerial experience required, including leading high-performing teams
Other/State Specific
This role pays between $123,800 to $154,700 and your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, responsibilities, experience, and location.
